Waxed canvas develops a characterful patina with use. Re-wax once or twice a year to keep it water-repellent. Full-grain leather will darken and soften naturally, which is exactly what you want. Wipe clean with a damp cloth, dry away from radiators, and never machine-wash. Your bag will look better at year three than at day one.

Unfortunately, it's not real leather, but well-made faux leather; the back and the unusual smell make that quite clear. It also looks different from the pictures. The bag is nice, but who wants to be lied to and cheated? So definitely not a purchase recommendation.

The bag is beautiful. It smells like leather, I did a test to verify its authenticity and it is indeed leather. It has many compartments and pockets. It is large and spacious. The seller sent the package very quickly.
